Using PREPARE/ENRICH — one of the most widely used, research-based couple assessments in North America — we help you and your partner explore your relationship’s strengths, talk through growth areas before they become bigger issues, and build the communication and conflict-resolution skills that carry a marriage forward.

Our Approach to Premarital Counselling
PREPARE/ENRICH-Based Preparation
As a certified PREPARE/ENRICH Facilitator, I use a structured, research-based approach rather than a generic conversation about marriage.
PREPARE/ENRICH is an online couple assessment that each of you completes individually in about 30–45 minutes, covering ten core relationship areas—communication, conflict resolution, financial management, family and friends, and more.
From there, we meet to walk through your personalized results, name your relationship’s real strengths, and work through structured exercises that build practical skills in the areas where you have more to align on—not just insight, but tools you’ll actually use.

Premarital counselling can help whether you’re newly engaged, planning your wedding, or want a strong foundation before marriage—especially if you’re navigating blended families, different financial habits, cultural or family differences, or want to strengthen communication and conflict-resolution skills before the wedding.
What to Expect
We begin with the PREPARE/ENRICH online assessment, which each of you completes individually. In our sessions together, I’ll walk you through your personalized Couple Report — your strengths and growth areas — and we’ll work through structured exercises from the Workbook for Couples to build real skills, not just talk about them.

PREPARE/ENRICH is a research-based couple assessment used by trained facilitators in over 100 countries. It’s not a test — it helps identify your relationship’s strengths and growth areas across ten core categories and gives us a concrete, personalized starting point for our sessions together.

The online assessment typically takes 30–45 minutes and can be completed individually, on your own time, before we meet.

Most couples meet for a handful of feedback sessions after completing the assessment, working through your results and the exercises most relevant to you. We’ll talk about pacing together based on your wedding timeline and what you’d like to work on.

Ideally a few months before the wedding, so there’s time to work through your results without the pressure of last-minute planning — though it’s never too early to start.
